Percy Update: May 15th 2007 Percy was officially adopted by Barbara Wahle (Hidden Haven Farm manager and wonderful mom) on Mother's day! We couldn't ask for a better caretaker for Percy. He really loves his special new "mom" and is really blossoming under her care. Percy now walks and runs with only a slight limp. He can tackle small stairs and jump over small obstacles. He greets each new day with enthusiasm and joy and we cannot believe it is the same dog! Percy will continue with checks from Dr. Andersen to be sure his healing from his surgeries is complete. However, he now has the security and love of a forever family.
CONGRATULATIONS PERCY!!!
IMPS still needs your help! We have many wonderful dogs in the rescue awaiting adoption. We also have other special needs dogs that require care above and beyond! Please consider making a donation to IMPS in Percy's name to be used to save another dog like Percy and turn their life around!

Special "Thank You" to all of the wonderful people who have followed Percy's story, sent him well wishes and to those special people who have made donations to his medical fund. We sincerely appreciate your support and encouragement. Please know that you are helping to change the life of this little dog! Thank You !!!!
Through your generous donations, we have raised a significant amount of money to offset Percy's medical bills and make him adoptable. However, we still have a long way to go so please keep sending in those donations. EVERY PENNY COUNTS! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Percy is most grateful for this second chance at life!
| PERCY UPDATE 11/28/06: Percy has completed the first phase of his heartworm treatment and Dr. Andersen has removed his remaining cast so he almost looks like a real dog again! We have been really worried about the damage done to his right hind leg, but after 2 weeks without a cast, Percy has FINALLY started walking gingerly on the leg! He is gaining weight and strength and healing nicely. He will be going in for a recheck on his right leg very soon and in about 2 more weeks he goes through the last phase of his HW treatment. Please keep sending your thoughts and prayers his way. It is hard to believe that this dog could barely walk just 2 short months ago and now he is fiesty and highly mobile! Please check back for new pictures coming soon....

Meet Percy, a wonderful black and tan, 2 year old, male miniature pinscher. Percy is a loving soul who was rescued from euthanasia on 9/26/06. With the help of Dr. Scott Andersen of Waugh Chapel Veterinary Hospital, Foster mom Tara Guevara of Hidden Haven Farm and the entire Internet Miniature Pinscher Services Rescue (IMPS), we are fighting to save Percy and give him a much deserved chance at a pain free life in a loving forever home. This page chronicles his struggles from the first day he left the shelter and includes regular photos, updates and downloads. Please join us in the fight to save Percy. Read his story, pass it on and help us in our efforts to raise money to offset the expenses of his life saving care. Percy is an amazing dog, full of love and life and greatful for the chance we are giving him. His determination is inspiring and his comeback uplifting. Just weeks ago, this dog was unable to use his broken hind legs and had to be carried around and cared for 24 hours a day as he was unable to do much of anything for himself. Now we is walking and running and looking forward to a bright future. Now we need help to make sure Percy's story has a happy ending and we hope you will be so generous as to help us as we help Percy.
