We have over 20 years experience in the equine industry and 17 years of experience with equine rescue.
Licensing: ~ PG County Animal Holding Facility License: Instruction ~ Maryland Horse Industry Board License: Instruction & Rescue Our facility meets the standards set forth by our local licensing agents in regards to the health and management of our horses and the condition of our facility. We pass all of our license inspections with flying colors!
Instructor Certification: ~Tara is a CHA certified riding instructor ~Tara is a member of the American Riding Instructor's Association ~Tara is currently applying for ARICP certification Tara prides herself on her love of teaching and her desire to continually improve her ability to teaching skills. She attends clinics, pursues various optional certification programs, takes additional training courses and networks with other instructors. Love of horses is a never ending pursuit of knowledge and passion.

Local Equestrian Involvement: ~Tara is the VP of Free State Riding Club, a local horse and show organization ~Active members of Southern Maryland Horse Shows Association ~Tara was a 2 Year Coach for Bishop McNamara ISHS Varsity Team ~Tara has judged NCEL Short Stirrup Team Meets ~Tara regularly performs judging for small local shows in english, western and halter ~Supporters and members of the Equine Rescue League Community Involvement: ~Provide community service hour completion opportunities for local schools such as Bowie HS, DuVal HS, Roosevelt HS,Tasker MS and various private schools ~Provided the opportunity for 2008 graduating senior Emily Leach to complete her senior service project ~Connected with local and county 4-H programs ~Approved by the National Capital Area Girl Scouts of America as a "High Adventure" resource location ~Provide opportunities for various home school groups to obtain service hours and meet physical education requirements ~Participate in various Career Day talks at local schools and churches ~Provide programs that bring our horses TO local schools and organizations ~Contracted with MNCPP for equestrian programs
